Microsoft BASIC II

Microsoft BASIC was the standard version of BASIC for many early microcomputers, including the Commodore 64, TRS-80, and Apple II. The Atari 8-bit computers bucked that trend: Atari BASIC wasn’t coded by Microsoft or particularly compatible with it.

However, Atari did sell versions of Microsoft’s BASIC. First, there was Atari Microsoft BASIC then the more feature-rich Atari Microsoft BASIC II, released in 1982. Neither were popular compared with Atari BASIC, which was built in to most of the Atari 8-bit computers.
